Alpha ...
What’s it all about?
If you have ever found yourself wondering about the bigger questions in life: Why am I here? What’s the point in life? Can there really be a God out there? … then Alpha is the perfect place to find some answers.
What is Alpha?
The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed informal setting over a few weeks of thought-provoking sessions. It’s low key, friendly and fun and there’s no cost. Over 2 million people in the UK and 11 million worldwide have already found it to be a worthwhile experience.
Who is it for?
Alpha is literally for anyone - whether you have a faith or not, whether you are not sure about such things or whether you’d call yourself a Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, agnostic, atheist or whatever. All that you need is a desire to want to explore the bigger questions in life
interested in finding out more?
When & Where?
We host Alpha regularly throughout the year and it lasts for around 6 weeks. This will be at the Family Life Centre, Ash St, Southport. You can let us know you're interested by emailing info@communitychurch.org.uk.
What happens at Alpha?
Each session will start with a welcome and a small time for introductions and conversations, then the 2nd part consists of a presentation or short film on a relevant topic and the 3rd (and most important) part is to be able to chat, ask questions about what you’ve heard. You can ask anything or nothing ... no pressure.
Can I try it out?
Just pop in and see what it’s like. You won’t be alone but feel free to bring a friend if you prefer.
If you would like to come along you can register below or contact us for more information: info@communitychurch.org.uk
I don't know when I'm free but I still really want to come.
